After a week with plenty of snow at home and, so I heard, in the Lakes, I set out on Saturday 24th January prepared to encounter the white stuff — despite aiming for three low-altitude summits around Cockermouth. But no snow was to be found… Instead I had a countryside ramble in mostly pleasant weather, bagging three summits, the two in the Watch Hill chapter and then Clints Crags. The first two were definitely worth doing but unless you’re bagging, I’d consider giving Clints Crags a miss. Read the details on the walk 92 page, view the photos, etc.

As of today, then, I have bagged 289 of the full list 330 Wainwrights, thus have 41 to go.
