Great Dodd

Great Dodd

I let one great weather forecast go last Friday because I had too much work to do but I wasn’t letting a second chance pass up. And it was well worth it. Two fells bagged on walk 51: Great Dodd and Clough Head, in conditions that were snowy but otherwise quite pleasant. All my walks now seem to result in dramatic views and today was no exception. Enjoy the walk and fell pages.

As of today, then, I have bagged 156 of the 214 Wainwright fells, thus have 58 to go. I passed the 500 mile mark today, at, roughly, Calfhow Pike (a rocky outcrop between the day’s two summits): I have now done 504.61 miles on this project, and climbed a total of about 147,728 feet.
